Good

We know that the organization will move on after next season

See who they bring in as coach in waiting

Tarasenko Update
Vladimir Tarasenko addressed the media today and said he was "too pissed off" to talk to the media the other day. As I told my wife, people were taking his non-speak the wrong way. I like that a player is so upset (Backes) or mad (Tarasenko) after losing. Apathetic players drive me nuts as a fan.

Baloney.

If you're going to stand in front of the cameras and talk during the good times then you better be man enough to take your medicine in the bad times. That's a cowardly excuse. I'm not buying it.

This wasn't a snub immediately after the game and series ended, this was days later.

He still has some growing up to do. Otherwise he'll be a career long horse's rear end like his fellow countryman, Ovetchkin.

Hopefully someone said to him that he needs to be able to stand and answer questions when he struggles

This is a learning experience for him

I expect him to be much better in the future

Just wondering, if Hitch is to retire after next season, why hire him on a 1 year deal? Do any of you see him leaving early and letting the next coach get his feet wet? To me it seems like a bad idea to hire a lame-duck coach.

Thought you were talking about doing it after Game 6.

Regardless, I think he will learn and grow up.

He just thinks he is the Michael Jordan of NHL coaching?

Who knows what they will do

I will be interested to see their assistant coaches and maybe he will mentor them this year and they will take over next year

That was my opinion last year and it worked out. Worked out well in fact.

I'm curious to know if DA thinks he already has his coach-in-waiting on staff now......

Brad Shaw is reportedly NOT coming back next season. Turned down a 1 year offer.

I wonder if Shaw wasn't given assurances he would have it the following season so he is leaving.

Now reports that Muller is thinking about things.

Given Shaw is leaving and Muller hasn't signed off on the 1 year deal..... I'm guessing no.

Muller's the guy I'm thinking about.

I'd also like to see Guy Carbonneau join the staff and be Hitch's successor.

No way Shattenkirk is back next year.

Why do you have a Ducks goalie as the photo to your blog?

Agreed on shattenkirk and I think Armstrong is priming that pump with his comments.

Any chance we can send Shaty for the number 4 pick?

We can throw in Reaves

I think it's crazy to bring back a guy that already has one foot out the door.

Most interesting piece of info, for my money:

Andrew Allsman (@allsmandrew)
11:11 AM on Tue, May 31, 2016:
Hitchcock recognizes that the Blues' need to find a better partner/partners for Tarasenko, has talked to Armstrong about it. #StlBlues

Now there's a topic with a world of possibilities. Fabbri maybe?

Good job

Jam

I would have taken up the cause but the wife and I are trying to buy a house in the Chicago Burbs and don't really have any money left over at this moment

Keep it up and I will try and participate in the future
